SPA25 Prisma Dirac Live Updating Instructions
- Download the SPA25 Prisma Dirac firmware zip file (do not unzip the file) shown as “SPA25-Dirac…”
- Connect the SPA25 Prisma to the network using LAN/ethernet connection
- Connect the SPA25 video output to the Main video monitor to access the OSD Menu
- Find the Dirac IP address in the Network Settings tab of the OSD Setup Menu
- If there is no Dirac IP address shown (0.0.0.0) you will need to find the address:
- If using Windows PC, you should be able to easily find it in the Network tab, shown as “SPA25 DiracServer:"
-
- If using Apple, you will need to download to an iPhone or iPad the Network Analyzer application linked below to scan the network and determine the IP address. This may take a couple of scans for the name of the IP address to appear SPA25 Dirac Server: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/network-analyzer/id562315041
- Enter the IP address into a browser window, with the recommendation of using either Chrome or Safari, which we have confirmed will work most effectively for this purpose and the additional recommendation to not use Edge.
- This will open a page that will ask you to drag the firmware zip file into a box on the page as indicated.
- This should initiate the update and provide a notification that the upload has been successful.
- Reboot the SPA25 Prisma
Important note: LAN/ethernet connection is necessary for Dirac calibration of the SPA25 Prisma. Once calibration has been completed and the Dirac filters having been created and loaded into the SPA25 Prisma, the filters can be used with the unit connected to the network by WLAN/WIFI, but it is recommended for best overall performance by both Dirac and Primare to use LAN/ethernet cabled connection at all times if possible.
