Why only three feet?

Why three instead of four feet is simply a matter of the trade-off between occasional inconvenience and long-term audio performance—and can serve to illustrate Primare’s Practical Design approach, which is inspired by the Swedish concept of lagom (“laah-goam”), meaning “just the right amount.” Not too much. Not too little. Our use of three feet is the simplest illustration of lagom. Three points define a plane, ensuring stability on any surface and even pressure for better resonance control. It also reduces foot costs by 25%. While that last point may sound lighthearted, this thinking guides every design decision at Primare. If a feature doesn’t meaningfully enhance performance, we eliminate it—keeping costs down while delivering the best possible experience to the greatest number of people.
